How do cancellation fees work?

Cancellation fees are charges that riders may incur under specific circumstances when canceling a ride or failing to show up for it. Here’s how they work:

  1. Time-Sensitive Fees:
    If you cancel your ride:

    • More than 3 minutes but less than 6 minutes after the driver has accepted your request, you will be charged a $2 cancellation fee.
    • More than 6 minutes after acceptance, the fee increases to $4.
  2. No-Show Fee:
    If you don’t arrive at the pickup location within 5 minutes of the driver’s arrival, they may cancel the ride on your behalf. This results in a $4 “no-show” fee.
  3. Exceptions:
    No cancellation fees are applied if you cancel within the first 3 minutes after your driver has accepted the ride request.
